Sarah Page is an award-winning British writer whose work spans film, television, theatre and audio. She is currently developing original projects with major international producers, including Miramax, Film4 and Audible.
Sarah is adapting her Audible Original Billionaire for Sale for television with Miramax, with Cush Jumbo OBE attached to star and executive produce. She is also co-writing comedian Grace Campbell’s debut feature for Film4/Brock Media and has several original television series and features in development.
Her first audio play Mrs Wickham, starring Jessie Buckley and Johnny Flynn, became a global success for Audible, winning the 2023 International Audie Award for Best Original Work and being named by the i Paper as one of the '25 Best Audio Pieces of All Time'. It is currently being adapted as a feature film with Obsidian 77.
Sarah was chosen for the prestigious 4Screenwriting programme and the script she developed on the course was subsequently optioned by Benedict Cumberbatch’s SunnyMarch. She was selected from thousands of applicants for the BBC Drama Writers’ Programme, chosen by BAFTA/BFI for their mentoring programme, named on the BBC New Talent Hotlist, and has been invited to join the International Writers’ Lab LA. Her recent episode of ITVX's sitcom Transaction was selected by The Guardian as a ‘What to Watch’ pick.
Sarah began her career in theatre, taking part in the Royal Court Theatre’s Young Writers’ and Studio Writers’ Groups. Her plays have been produced internationally and published by Bloomsbury, Oberon Books and Samuel French. She is a two-time recipient of Peggy Ramsay Foundation Awards and was a finalist for the Nick Darke Writers’ Award. She is currently writing new work for Mass Vicinity Productions and Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre in New York.
Passionate about broadening access to the industry, Sarah also mentors emerging creatives from underrepresented backgrounds through a number of charitable organisations.
